Ebony leaned against a post across the street from the theater. It was covering the hellmouth but thats not why she was there. She was there looking for a meal. It wasn't exactly Valentine's Day but she felt the need to kill some sickening lovey dovey couple. One kill before the day she went on a couple massecre wouldn't ruin her reputation.
She stoood their still as a statue watching every single movement with her purple eyes. A cigarette was in her hand. The only move she made was when she put the cigarette to her lips to take a drag of it. If she was still human the stuff would be off limits as to her it was a killer and caused early wrinkles and health problems.
But when your a vampire your free to smoke. It can't kill you or harm your looks as your stuck in the age your bitten at for the rest of your immortal life. Her ring on her finger glinted in the overhead street lamp. It was a little trinket she had taken off of one of her past victims.
Ebony tossed her black locks of hair over her bare shoulder and continued to wait for a potential pray to come out of the theater and stray from the mingling crowd. Her tattoo on her shoulder blade was fully exposed. A reminder of one good thing that had happened in her life before she had become what she was now.
Putting her cigarette out by dropping it to the ground and stepping on it she began looking at the many scars that lined her arms from her human days. However they went no where near the tattoo on her forearm and wrist. Huffing in annoyance at the lack of people coming her way she prepared to move to follow one of the couples. Spike had only been here for less then a week and he was already itching for something to do. Something to fight with. Anything. It had been awhile since he got himself a real good kill and well with the path of finding who is behind the potential turnings was still fuzzy there wasn't much for him to do. Thus he took some time from his night and took to the town. More specifically the theatre. He was told this was where the game was. So this is where he came.
Strutting through the doors, duster billowing behind him Spike took in the scene. Lovers walking hand in hand to see a movie. Families laughing about the flick they just saw. It was a happy place...a happy place crawling with vampires. It was like christmas, a fight waiting to happen at every corner. It was about time that Spike got his hands dirty. He needed that flesh to flesh contact, the thinking that was involved in a fight. He yearned for the adrenaline rush that it gave.
Lingering around each hall watching people as they pass hoping to find his next victim Spike caught notice of a girl. She was most definately not human, and she was most definately on the hunt. She looked chatty. Having the punk/goth look going for her. He almost wanted to see what she was going to do. He had caught a sudden interest in this vampire. Which was odd, usually he killed and moved on. Not her she seemed like a different vampire. One who thought before they pounced.
Perfect.
Spike approached the dark haired female. 'Someone catching your eye?' he had seen her eyeing someone, or a couple to be more precise. He wasn't going to hide that he knew what she was or what she was doing, and he didn't try to hide what he was. He was interested in how this girl ticked and to find out he had to lay out the cards. See what she was playing at. Then hey maybe she might know something about the potentials and this night wouldn't be a total bust.

Ebony had seen a few other vampires pass, also scanning the people for a meal. She twirled one of her locks of hair around her finger. Hearing a voice she gave a growl, She had sensed him but didn't think he'd actually come over.
Turning, Ebony looked at him with a glare crossing her features, She rolled her eyes and went back to watching the couple she had her eyes on,
"Even if I did, it would be none of your business."
She said, coldness in her voice. She watched him from the corner of her eyes, keeping the couple that intended to be her meal in her line of sight. They were talking to some random person, which she did not care about. She just hoped the bleeched blond vampire that was attempting to make conversation with her, did not interfere with her hunting.
Normally by now she would begin to follow the prey and then catch up or get ahead of them make up some lie, get them into the alley and attack. So unless she got the blond to leave her alone she was going to have to find a new couple to prey upon.
Which she did not want to do. She hated having to track down new prey after her sights were set on someone else, The intentional prey always tasted better than the ones you went after when your intended prey decided to be smart and book it.
However as cold and territorial as she was when it came to being alone and her hunting grounds. She normally hated any vampire that came within a hundred foot radius of where she was. But the blond got her curiousity. How she hated curiousity. It always got the kitty cat killed. WORDCOUNT:: 295

She was a smart ass that was for sure. 'Well pet that would depend on if I care. Which I don't, just asking. What I really am interested in is you.' He put an arm against the wall behind them and leaned against it. He had plans of making sure that she didn't pursue her prey. He wanted to chat for a bit. She seemed like she could fond someone else easily so it wasn't that big of a deal.
The question however was why wasn't he killing her. That was the way things went. He killed vampires if they were pursuing prey or attacked him. He was the biggest and baddest vampire. Or atleast he was second to Angel, bloody ponce. He should of had staked her or gotten her away so he could already. He was doing this all wrong. Damn curiosity. Maybe there was a reason for it. Maybe there was a bigger picture going on and she needed to be alove because of events that were to unfold in the future. Who knew really. Spike just couldn't bring himself to kill her....yet.
'What's your name love?' She looked like a victoria to him, he could be wrong. Hell most of the time he was but that never kept him from guessing. He looked to the couple as they slowly began to dissappear into the crowd. It didn't matter to him. He didn't feed off humans anymore and so he didn't care if others did it. He didn't care much for unsoulled vampires anymore, or a certain souled one, but that was getting off topic. There was something about this one that made him think twice before he thought about doing anything. She was definately something that Spike would bring up to Buffy.

Ebony rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. Growling slightly as her prey dissappeared she turned and glared at him, She was not a happy camper now.
"For one thing I am not a pet. Especially not yours so do not call me that, or Love. So lets get the cleared up right now."
She looked straight ahead once again and has to restrain herself from laughing. Interested in her. How would anyone be interested in a psychotic teenager. Vampire or not.
"Interested in me?"
She asked and shook her head,
"Please. I'm about as interesting as a cat in a tin can."
She said as she flipped her hair from her face. Sighing she said, with slight hesitance,
"My name is Ebony. Most Vampires tend to call me Bloody Valentine. I'll let you ponder over how I got that nickname though.... Now I told you mine, you tell me yours, You also better have a extremely good reason for distracting me from that sickening lovey dovey couple that was suppose to be my dinner."
She said with a slight snarl as she played with the cuff bracelet on her wrist while waiting for his response. It had better be a damn good one otherwise hell would be unleashed. WORDCOUNT:: 209

Feisty. It was the best word that Spike could conjure to describe the vampire standing before him. She had the attitude, the snarl, the look, and the talk. She was enough to make any human quiver in their boots if they knew what she was. She didn't come off as someone to mess with. Well of course Spike would, but anyone else would take a look at her and turn in the opposite direction. 'I will call you whatever I bloody please thank you very much.' Spike informed her. He didn't like people telling him to do, and he didn't like people telling him what he can or cant call them. It was something that he chose and would call them whether they liked it or not.
Ebony. Different. Bloody Valentine. Creative. Just as Spike suspected. She would be an interesting one indeed. ' I bet it's an interesting story why your called Bloody Valentine. He would be sure to see if there was anything that popped up on her when he got back. Maybe he could learn more about her. Hopefully Buffy didn't think anything of it. He had just gotten her less mad at him and he didn't need nor want another round about of that going on.
' The name is William the Bloody, or Spike as I am most known as.'
He was widely known as both. His name had made it into every slayer handbook and he had killed himself two slayers, almost three if emotions hadn't gotten in the way countless of times.
'Now Ebony let's forget about that gagging couple of there and let's have a heart to heart, find out how one abother ticks.' He just found her interesting and decided that finding more about her would make the night pass in a reasonable amount of time.

Ebony simply gave him an odd look when he said he'd call her whatever he wanted to. She was use to people listening or leaving her alone all together but when neither happened she found it odd and very annoying. Of course there was the fact she normally attacked any vampire by now that came near her.
"Yes, theres a small interesting tid bit as to why they call me Bloody Valentine. Like I said I'll leave you to figure that out....You seem like a smart guy, Though most Vampire, or not book it in the other direction or are by now dead. So can't say your very smart to still be within arms reach of me."
She said with a thoughtful look as she brushed an annoying strand of hair from her face.
"William? Thats a nice name, why don't you use it?"
She as she she turned and faced him, dropping most intrest in the humans but that didn't stop her from watching them every now and then.
"Heart to Heart? Never knew freaks like us had hearts."
She said with a sarchastic tone as she pulled out another cigarette and lit it before sticking the lighter in her front pocket of her shorts. WORDCOUNT:: 207
