NAME!?! -LiamAngel.
NICK NAMES!?! - Angel, Angelus, Champion, Captain Forehead, Dark Avenger, Angel-Cakes, Dead Boy.
AGE!?! - Two-hundred fifty.
GROUP!?! - Vampire.
SEXUALITY!?! - Straight.
GENDER!?! - Male.
PLAYED BY!?! - David Boreanaz.
[/i]. Barry Manilow isn’t one of them. A bit of a ballad man, he is possibly his favourite singer.
LIKES!?!
+Being alone; Angel is uncomfortable with large groups. He’s spent most of his time alone over the last century and appreciates time to himself.
+ His friends; Angel really never expected to grow that close to any group of people. Before his encounter with Doyle after Sunnydale, Angel didn’t want to be close to anyone. He would much rather disconnect and retract, but over the span of the last five years, he’s opened up (as much as Angel allows himself to) quite a bit with them and would sacrifice anything to keep them safe.
+ The idea of redemption; Maybe it isn’t possible. Angel hopes for it and would fight regardless of whether or not he could reach it. But, the idea itself, that maybe he can make up for all of the people he’s hurt and killed is something that he holds close. Of course, he has a lot of doubts that it is possible—especially given the extent of the damage he’s caused. Nothing can take that away.
[/ul]
DISLIKES!?! -
+Cell phones; They’re unreliable pieces of technology, never working when he needs them to, and going off when he doesn’t want them to. He’s gotten better with them, but still has a general disdain for them and reaching him on one can be difficult on occasion.
+Dancing; Don’t ask. Just don’t.

GOALS!?!
FEARS!?!
STRENGTHS!?!
WEAKNESS!?! -
OVERAL!?! - Rare to succumb to any form of panic, Angel is a level-headed and calm vampire. Capable of calculating well-thought out plans, he often has one in the back of his mind. He isn’t afraid of doing whatever it takes to do the right thing, be it any form of self-sacrifice or someone else’s. While difficult, he doesn’t pull back from the hard decisions. Although he appreciates a plan of action above impulse, he won’t hesitate before acting without thought if he feels like it’s the only way. Fiercely dedicated to the people that he cares about, he’d do anything to protect them. Even if they don’t necessarily want his protection, it is near impossible for him not to give it. Stubborn, Angel isn’t easy to distract or divert from his focal point. In fact, he often tries to stay strictly on whatever plan he’s headed towards at that given moment even if something else comes up. Even when knocked down, the vampire is the type that springs back into action. Hard to keep down, he can endure a lot and still bounce back.
Mysterious and dark, Angel lacks any form of a social life beyond his team and the fight against evil. As an ensouled vampire, he was forced to carry the burden of guilt from his past. Filled with the remorse from his conscience, he has accepted the punishment of it. While he is fully aware that nothing could wipe the slate clean of his past sins, he does try to redeem himself and to carry out the right thing despite it. Still a vampire, his vampiric impulses still remain, although are kept at bay. Often characterized by his brooding personality, he doesn’t carry a vivid sense of humour, although it does get better in certain company. As does his ability to smile and to laugh, which aren’t very common to see displayed.
Despite the stark opposite of his soulless counterpart, a lot of his personality remains intact without a soul, only pushed to a different side of the spectrum and overridden by darker impulses. Without a soul, Angelus is a creature fed by the fear and torment of other people. Cruel and dark, he finds pleasure in their fear and pain and rose killing to an art form. As he has no conscience, he is unable to feel guilt or remorse for his actions and is often disgusted with how much humanity and feeling that Angel presents when the soul is inside of him. Even in speech, Angelus’ cruelty is blatant and unhindered. Intelligent, he has a vision for darkness and easily uses distorted versions of the truth to dig away at the people. As cruel as he can be, the ones that he cares about aren’t spared the torment. Angelus’ version of affection can be twisted and even worse for someone that he once cared for. In contrast to Angel, without a soul, he tends to carry his sense of humour a little better; albeit a far more twisted and dark sense. It isn’t any surprise, with the reputation Angelus has, that he’s arrogant. Narcissistic, his downfall has sometimes been in his gloating.
Although his soul is intact, there are still darker aspects of his personality that aren’t difficult for him to call upon. He can be blunt and cold if necessary, although it isn’t generally how he acts. His personality is far from one way or another. The main focus of his life is to continue fighting the good fight.

EYES!?! - A shade of dark brown, set evenly apart, average sized.
HAIR!?! - Dark brown and often hold a lot of product, spiked in a messy style.
FACE!?! - As a human, his features aren't rough in the least. With a pair of dark, thoughtful eyes, and a prominent brow, Angel was said to have the face of his namesake. Mostly, he is seen with a serious or 'broody' expression, although when he does smile, it reveals a row of straight teeth and seems to brighten up his entire expression. When in game face, he retains the normal lumpy forehead, yellow eyes and sharpened teeth.
BODY!?! - Angel stands at 6'1, with a broad shouldered and lean frame, muscled through training.
UNUSUAL!?! - With his high rate of healing, the vampire lacks scarring over his body, despite how many times it’s been marred by injury. On his shoulder blade, however there is a tattoo of an A set behind a Griffin and that retains the position of being his only tattoo, and only distinguishing mark on his body.
OVERAL!?! - The first noticeable trait about Angel would be his height. At 6’1, he can easily emphasize it with a towering posture, but generally doesn’t. Unless his sole purpose is to intimidate, he has a tendency to keep his shoulders low. By habit he uses chairs and walls to lean against most of the time both when seated and standing. He’s not an imposing figure when casual, in fact, he’d rather blend in than draw attention to himself. Nevertheless, he is set with a pair of broad shoulders, and an athletic, muscled frame from years of combat and training. He can throw his own weight around well, but the way he carries himself differs from situation to situation. Consistent with his need to blend back into the dark, Angel wears dark colours. Normally set in black, his outfits don’t really vary. Trousers are almost always black, and he typically dresses himself in sweaters and button ups of the same colour. Occasionally, he ventures into a different shade, but it’s always a neutral colour and dark. In addition to his outfits, he owns more than one trench coat; his favourite in leather.
As a vampire, pale skin is a given. Dead, and with over two hundred years without sunlight, his skin stays a pale shade of white. With his high rate of healing, the vampire lacks scarring over his body, despite how many times it’s been marred by injury. On his shoulder blade, however there is a tattoo of an A set behind a Griffin and that retains the position of being his only tattoo, and only distinguishing mark on his body. Facially, Angel lived up to his name, often called the demon with the face of an angel. His eyes are dark brown, set evenly beneath a prominent brow. His expressions can make up for a lot of what isn’t said, but there isn’t a giant variation there either. Often seen brooding, he keeps a serious look 80 percent of the time. While he’s opened up more around his friends, revealing that he does, in fact know how to smile; a smile that brightens his features, and reveals two rows of straight teeth, no less. But, his looks tend to linger on a solemn side. Ever since he cleaned himself up to leave his self-punishment and hiding years before, Angel has kept basically the same hair style. The dark brown tresses often hold a lot of product, spiked in a messy style.
MOTHER!?! - Deceased.
FATHER!?! - Deceased.
SIBLINGS!?! - One sister—Kathy. Deceased.
IMPORTANT!?! - Connor—Angel's son. The mystical birth of a child between vampires is a big deal. Despite the rocky relationship he has with him, Connor is the one person that Angel cares most about. It was that way immediately.
FINALLY!?! -Liam, Angelus, Angel--All three names for the same man, and each one with its own implication. In 1727, Liam was born to a linen merchant and his wife, in Galway Ireland. He was a young man that knew his father's rough disappointment and little else. Often playing the failure, Liam turned into a young man that was full of drink and with an eye for women. There was little to him, in the way of accomplishments, unless you counted how much ale he could consume or the women he could talk into being his for the night. His father made him feel like some sort of deviant, a demon-- And how ironic it was that that was exactly what he'd become. He was 26 when everything changed, when a woman with a promise to show him the world did just that, only she did it without keeping his soul intact. Lured in by a vampire, Liam was sired in an alley adjacent to the tavern he was spotted in. And thus, Liam became Angelus.
The moment he awoke, he was filled with hunger, hunger and a heart for vengeance. With Darla at his side, he slaughtered his neighbours, friends of his family, and terrorized the village until he backtracked to his own home. The best was saved for last, and Liam was invited in eagerly by his younger sister, who believed he came back to her as an angel. He killed her, killed his mother, and then his father. After all, it was that man that he had to prove everything to.
Angelus and Darla fled Ireland soon after and a string of chaos and mayhem followed wherever they went. In 1760, Angelus would finally come face to face with the master in the sewers of London. Unimpressed by the way that they lived, Angelus openly mocked the older vampire and refused to ever remain below. Despite the vampire’s strength and the hierarchy he made for himself, Angelus laughed and insulted him. While being attacked by said vampire, he attempted to appeal to Darla to keep her above ground with him. She complied and left the sewers to continue her travels with Angelus.
Later in the 18th century, the couple was chased by a well connected vampire hunter named Daniel Holtz. He chased the couple across continents before they sought his family out instead. The duo murdered his wife and infant son, but sired his daughter, forcing Holtz to kill her when he found his family. After the death of his family, he continued to chase the pair with further determination. Angelus was captured twice, but escaped each time and despite coming into close contact with dying, Holtz never killed him. A close call in France caused Darla to flee without Angelus, leaving him in a burning barn to find his own escape. The two were reunited in Vienna. Despite the continuous close calls with Holtz, the pair always escaped and never killed Holtz themselves. Instead, the two dedicated their time to make his life Hell.
Sometime after, Angelus sired a man named Penn. Much like Angelus himself, he slaughtered his entire family after being made. The two reigned some terror on city, leaving death in their wake. Much of Angelus’ own characteristics were copied by Penn, even his signature cross that Angelus carved into his victim’s cheek to spite God. The two separated in Ireland and while planned to meet again, didn’t until over 100 years later.
Together with Darla again, Angelus would be ready to sire yet another vampire in 1860. Brought to his attention by Darla herself, Angelus discovered a young woman. In a pure, religious family, the girl and her sisters were all virgins and all chaste. However, this particular girl was cursed with the sight, giving Angelus ample reason to make his particular torture special for her. After killing a priest, he spoke to her in a confessional, called her a devil-child and attempted to make her feel like the abomination that her family thought she was for having the sight. Posed as a priest, Angelus murdered the girl’s family, and when she fled to a convent, he followed and murdered everyone around her. He turned her into his masterpiece and pushed her over the edge before he finally sired her. Thus, bringing Drusilla into their family.
For the next two decades, they lived and caused havoc together. In 1880, the three of them became four however, when Drusilla decided to make a companion for herself. After Drusilla sired Spike, Angel took on a bit of a mentor role to teach him the art of mass slaughter. However, the recklessness of the new vampire often infuriated Angelus because of the attention he roused and even threatened to kill him. Despite Drusilla’s relationship with Spike, Angelus continued a physical one with Drusilla. The dynamic of the four of them lasted until 1898 when it all changed for Angelus.
In Borsa, Romania, Angelus tortured and murdered the favourite daughter of a tribe of Kaldarash Gypsies. To avenge her, the tribe cursed the vampire with a soul to force him to suffer for his crimes. With a soul, he would be capable of regret and remorse, having a human conscience while also being keenly aware of all the monstrous things that he had done as a vampire. Still, a vampire, it would also create quite a fight between impulses. After Darla discovered the soul, she went to the tribe to force them to right it. While she attempted to negotiate with the father of the girl, using his family as leverage, Spike murdered them and left the attempt hopeless. Darla then snapped the man’s neck out of frustration.
Homeless, alone and miserable from the overwhelming pain of a conscience, Angelus hunted animals instead of people until he tried to regain the life he once had with Darla. In 1900, he returned to her and assured her that he was back and that he could prove himself. But, unable to feed off of innocent people, he began to feed from murderers and rapists, along with animals. He even went as far as to attempt at saving humans from Darla; this exhibited by a family of Christian Missionaries that he tried to keep Darla from discovering. She did, however, killed the family all except for the infant and brought it back to Angelus. She attempted to make him kill the baby as proof of what he was, but in refusal Angelus left, unable to continue on with them.
Now Angel, the ensouled vampire fled from Europe at some point during the early 20th century. He arrived in America through Ellis Island and remained there. During World War II, the US military forced Angel into assisting a mission that involved saving a submarine. Formerly a Nazi owned sub, the Nazi’s had captured vampires for experiments in an attempt to create a military super force. When the US took it over, the vampires began to attack the soldiers, thus taking the submarine. When Angel boarded, he was reunited with Spike, but assisted the Americans in taking back over their submarine to make it back to the surface. Unfortunately, one of the soldiers suffered a fatal injury and being the only person able to control the sub, Angel had no choice but to sire him. Sam Lawson was the only vampire that Angel ever sired since he received a soul. Once they reached surface, he allowed him and Spike to leave without killing them. But, with a promise to Sam that he would if he ever saw him again.
After the war, Angel was a resident of the Hyperion Hotel in Los Angeles. While he attempted to remain recluse, he attracted the attention of a young woman named Judy; a runaway with biracial parents. Suicide and murder filled the hotel, courtesy of a Thesulac demon that fed on fear. Despite his attempt to help the residents, Angel was lynched by the people of the hotel. Disgusted by their very attempt, Angel allowed the demon to consume everyone as he left.
Until the 1970’s, Angel had been completely free of human blood. While he would always be a vampire and the demon would never leave him or keep him from craving it, Angel didn’t attack humans. That desire became too strong however, after a robbery in a shop. After the cashier was shot dead, Angel caught himself lured in by the dead man’s blood. Instead of leaving the scene, Angel locked the door and fed off of the man. Horrified at what he’d done and how he did nothing to save him to begin with, Angel disappeared to the streets and began a downward spiral—Feeding off of rats and living quite like a homeless person.
Finally, in 1996, a demon named Whistler approached the filthy, worthless vampire on the streets. Reluctant to listen to him, Whistler attempted to coerce him into fighting against evil. It wasn’t until he was brought to see the new slayer, Buffy Summers, that Angel changed his mind. When he watched her, he chose to help fight, unable to let the girl do it on her own. But, it wouldn’t be until her arrival in Sunnydale that Angel would actually meet her. Cleaned up and out of his miserable phase, Angel went to Sunnydale to wait for her and to assist in the fight against the Master and his ascension. Initially, Angel didn’t reveal that he was a vampire. He continued to be there to assist and in doing so developed feelings for her. The two were falling in love without Angel telling her what he was. It wasn’t until the two began to kiss and Angel accidentally vamped out that the truth came into light. After that, the two tried to ignore their feelings and attempted not dating. However, after Angel rescued Buffy from a demonic frat party the two started to explore their relationship.
After the Master’s defeat and the following year, Spike and Drusilla rocked into town in order to restore Drusilla’s strength. When it was discovered that the blood of her sire was needed for the ritual, Angel was captured for it. Given to Drusilla, Angel was tortured until it was time for the ritual, and although successful, was saved by Buffy. His love for Buffy, however, quickly became Angel’s undoing. After the pair consummated their relationship, Angel’s ultimate happiness overturned his curse and restored Angelus again. Drawn to Spike and Drusilla, Angelus joined the pair with plans of vengeance and destruction. Humiliated by how human Buffy made him feel, Angelus dedicated his time to destroying her life. When a demon that Drusilla and Spike had conjured up just before Angel reverted back to Angelus failed, Angelus returned to his old ways. He began to prey on the people around her and went as far as to send gruesome messages and drawings of her and her mother sleeping.
With a vision for destruction, Angelus planned to awaken Acathla to suck the world into Hell. Throughout the duration of his plans, Angelus reigned havoc on Buffy and the Scoobies. A large achievement on his behalf was the murder of Jenny Calendar. The woman was not only a romantic interest for Buffy’s watcher, Giles, but also a direct descendant of the gypsies that had cursed him in the first place. After she had found a way to curse him again, Angelus found and killed her. But, it didn’t stop there for him. Angelus took Jenny to Giles’ home and propped her up in his bed after leaving clues to a romantic evening about the house. After, Angelus continued to plot for the end of the world. After Angelus’ first attempt at awakening Acathla failed, he sought out Giles to give him specifics on the ritual. He created a distraction out of himself while Drusilla and a gang of vampires attacked the library and kidnapped the watcher. Once Angelus had him, he tortured him in an attempt to get him to spill. Unknown to the vampire, Spike was the one that plotted against him and sought out the slayer to stop Angelus. After Drusilla used hypnotism to gain the answer from Giles, Angelus was ready to finish the ceremony. It was nearly finished when Buffy arrived and Spike attacked him. Despite the ambush, Angelus managed to pull the sword from Acathla and the vortex was opened. A fight between Angelus and Buffy ensued, but as it reached the end, Willow managed to restore Angel’s soul with the spell from a disk that Jenny had left behind before she died. Too late, however, Buffy impaled Angel to the statue and sent him to Hell, thus closing the vortex.
Months passed on Earth, but for Angel’s hundreds of years did. Stuck in a Hell dimension, he was abruptly returned, feral from the time spent there. When Buffy found him, she assisted his return to normal behaviour, but Angel began to question the reason why he was allowed back. After a series of what he believed were hallucinations, Angel was informed by the First Evil that they were the ones that brought him back from Hell. After he refused to kill Buffy, he attempted to go into the sun, since he didn’t want to be used for the purpose of evil. After a talk with Buffy, Angel was still stubborn in his decision until a strange snow began to fall in Sunnydale and the clouds covered the sun. Angel attempted then to restore his relationship with Buffy. Doomed, Angel knew that he couldn’t ever give her the life that she deserved and decided to leave Sunnydale after the defeat of the mayor. In the fight to stop the mayor’s ascension, Faith tried to distract Buffy by poisoning Angel with arrows that had one cure—The blood of a slayer. After Buffy failed to bring Faith’s body to Angel, she sacrificed herself to him. Angel drank from him, but managed to get her to a hospital before her death. After Wilkins’ defeat, Angel left for L.A.
In Los Angeles, Angel spent a few months patrolling the streets of LA and killing the vampires that he found there. It wasn’t long until he was approached by a half-demon named Doyle. Sent by the Powers that Be, Doyle had visions of people in trouble. With Doyle’s help in the fight, Angel was also joined by a surprising yet familiar face. Cordelia Chase. In Los Angeles following her television career, she joined Angel and Doyle and the three became the beginning of Angel Investigations.
After a heroic sacrifice, Doyle was killed, but, not before he passed his visions onto Cordelia. His death, however, only fuelled Angel's protective instinct over everyone that he cared about. The arrival of Wesley Wyndam-Price was a needed help at the time, however, Wesley was not expected to stay. After their first mission, Wesley pretended that he still held no interest, but wound up joining the team. Back to three, their group grew with the addition of Charles Gunn. As this took place, Wolfram and Hart made an attempt on Angel's life using the rogue slayer, Faith. Instead of being killed, Angel attempted to help her and influenced her to return to a redeeming path. Wolfram and Hart continued to have issue with Angel, as his team continuously disrupted their plottings. So, the evil law firm resurrected Darla as a human. Filled with dreams of Darla, Angel was heavily distracted and became obsessed once he realized that Darla was alive and human again. Under the belief that she was lucky to have the second chance, Angel refused to sire her when she asked it of him. Dying of the same illness that had been killing her as a human, Angel attempted to save her and even underwent trials to give her her life back. But it failed and it would appear that Darla was doomed to die. With the aid of Drusilla, however, Wolfram and Hart had Darla returned to her former vampiric state. At this point, Angel's personality took a darker turn. Out of vengeance, he allowed Darla and Drusilla to massacre a large group of Wolfram and Hart employees, even locking the group in with them to die. He then fired his crew and began to work to be able to defeat them on his own. Eventually, he set the two on fire without killing them. After suffering a defeat, Angel went back for Darla again and attempted to give up his soul by sleeping with her. Instead of ultimate happiness, he found ultimate despair and concluded that he still had a purpose, even if he couldn't save everyone.
After he sent Darla away, he attempted to reconcile with his friends. Due to his previous actions, the team decided to make Wesley the leader instead. The team, along with Lorne, is transported soon after to a demon dimension known as Pylea to save Cordelia who had already been sucked in. In a dimension where humans are used as slaves, Cordelia is turned into a queen while Angel helps to save a girl named Winifred Burkle who had been hiding in the caves. When the group made a successful defeat, they returned home with Lorne and Fred a part of their team. Unfortunately, as Angel returned to Los Angeles, he was abruptly informed of Buffy’s death. Devastated by the news, Angel left LA for a monastery to work through his grief. Months passed and after even in his time of solace, evil still managed to show up. After a fight with demons in the monastery, Angel returned home again to his team. What he never expected was that he’d be seeing Darla again much too soon and in a way that should have been impossible. She returned to him pregnant. In order for the child to survive, Darla staked herself and left the infant with Angel. Despite how impossible it was and all of the shock and confusion, Angel was excited to have the child. Named Connor, Angel planned to be a good father, despite being a vampire. Unfortunately, a long chain of events led to the kidnapping of Connor by Wesley to protect him from Angel. This chaos was only joined by the return of Holtz, the enemy from Angel’s past who still believed him to be the same creature Angelus was. Connor eventually wound up in Holtz’s hands and was taken into a hell dimension to be raised. Time passed differently there and when a short time passed for Angel and his team, years had for Connor and Holtz. Connor eventually returned to seek revenge on his father alongside of Holtz himself. Angel attempted to reason with it and when Holtz died, he was completely unaware of how he had killed himself to make it appear like Angel had killed him. Out of vengeance, Connor attacked Angel and sent him in a steel coffin to the bottom of the ocean.
After his rescue from the water by Wesley, Angel returned to the Hyperion. Connor, still around, wound up with a strained relationship with Angel. Problems of the emotional and social sort mattered little as a demon known as the Beast arrived to bring the apocalypse. Unable to defeat it, Angel realizes, much to his own dismay that the answer to the Beast’s defeat could be so repressed that Angelus would only have the answer. A dangerous decision is made to withdraw Angel’s soul (after proper precautions are made, of course.). Still, Angelus managed to get out and caused some amount of havoc until he is captured with the help of Faith. Enlisting the help of Willow, Angel’s soul was restored once more. With the Beast dead, Angel’s focus was shifted to the idea of the Beast having a master, not to mention the mystical pregnancy of Cordelia that was revealed after his reensoulment. After piecing together the clues, Angel discovered that the Beast’s boss was none other than Cordelia Chase. Although, it was soon figured out that it wasn’t her at all, and instead a divine being that had taken over her body. In a short time, the baby came to term and burst out of Cordelia as Jasmine. Jasmine mesmerized the world with nothing more than her voice and her appearance. Only coming into contact with her blood could make someone see her for what she truly was-- A rotting face with maggots feasting on it. While she tried to force the world to be a beter placer, Angel eventually defeats her with the idea that people should choose, not be forced to create a better world.
Because, of his decision, after the defeat, Angel is offered the LA branch of Wolfram and Hart. Despite being his enemy and against all better judgement, the vampire decided to take the offer in exchange for giving his son a better life. One where he would have new memories and a family that cared about him. After receiving the job, Angel made his last trip to Sunnydale to aid Buffy in her fight with the First. But, instead, she wanted him to keep his front in LA in case she failed. Leaving her with an amulet, Angel returned to LA once more.
From inside Wolfram and Hart, Angel planned to cause damage from within. However, once there, all of the clarity between good and evil started to blur together more than ever before. Not only did it become hard to draw the lines himself, but his position at Wolfram and Hart also severed the trust that he had between Buffy and her friends. If it was hard for him to see it, then it had to be even harder for them. None of it became easier, especially not when an ensouled Spike appeared incorporeal in the building. Due to their ensouled states, the rivalry between the pair grew, especially in light of the prophecy about the vampire champion. At first, Angel struggled with a lot of inner turmoil over it, but as everything progressed, Angel started to gain more confidence again. But, Angel soon left it all behind for Cleveland, Ohio. Why? One word. Buffy.
